Information you choose to add

PACK uses the information you provide to help you prepare for trips: account name and email, destinations and dates, traveler profiles, optional photos and packing preferences, saved gear, packing items, and checklist progress. Optional preferences can include details such as medication needs; only add what you are comfortable storing or sharing.

When you contact us or send feedback, we receive the details you include. If you enable supported notifications, the app may register a device notification token to deliver them.

What stays on your device and what is shared

Private trips, profiles, and gear are primarily stored on your device or in your browser. Account and shared-trip features use online storage. When you share or join a trip, relevant trip information, member details, list permissions, and packing updates are stored online so invited members can collaborate.

List visibility depends on the access selected for a trip. Household partners and people granted access can view or edit the lists shared with them. Shared-list items are visible to trip members. Review permissions before including personal details.

Contacts and photos

Contact import and photo selection are optional and use device permission prompts. Contacts you select can supply names, contact details, and available photos. Details used for an invitation may be processed by PACK’s sharing service. You can manage device permissions in your phone’s settings.

Services that help PACK work

Cloudflare hosts our website and routes our company email. Supabase supports account authentication and shared-trip storage. Resend delivers account emails and outgoing company email. These providers process information needed to deliver their services, including technical connection and security information.

Destination and weather providers receive the place searches, coordinates, or dates needed to return results. Shopping and hotel links open third-party services. Those services process your visit and any purchase under their own privacy policies. PACK does not handle your retailer payment-card details.

Website storage

The public product website’s interactive sample runs in your browser and does not save its sample checklist. The app preview uses browser storage for app data and preferences and keeps authentication information to maintain your session. Hosting and email providers may retain technical logs for delivery, security, and service operation.

Your choices

You can update profile information, manage shared-list access, remove local items, and change available permissions in the app or your device settings. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of account information, email [email protected]. We may verify your identity before acting on a request.

We retain information needed to provide the service and resolve operational, security, or legal issues. Information already shared with other trip participants may remain in their copies; local data on your own devices may need to be removed separately.

Profiles for children

Adults may create packing profiles for children they are responsible for. PACK’s account and collaboration features are intended for adults. Please avoid adding unnecessary sensitive information about a child.
